halloween weekend

while everyone else was busy dressing up and throwing drinks down, we were being typical boring parents here :) we had a great weekend but not going to lie wish we had a baby sitter so we could dress up and get out for a bit.

we were blessed with an extra day together since mike's crew didn't feel like dealing with being dumped on with all the snow all day... since i was loving all the snow we decided to head to Big Sky (about a half hour away) and let remmi play in the snow. it was breath taking! we really live in a beautiful area. honestly if we didn't want to live home as bad i could totally see us making this our home... in a house of course! while we were cruising around Big Sky we found a few things to add to our christmas time bucket list. seriously i'm so excited for christmas its silly! last year was so fun being home but this year we have wesson! we're staying here in bozeman and will be making our own family traditions. its going to be wonderful :)

 aint he cute?!

remmi was loving playing in the snow...

yesterday we also set out to find a local pumpkin patch to pick our own pumpkins to carve... we didn't have much luck. turns out there's no greensbluff here. we really weren't in the mood in the first place to deal with pumpkin guts and baking seeds so the fact we had to pick a pumpkin out from the grocery store bin was out of the question. instead we decided to decorate a haunted house today.

yeah i wasn't really into that either but mike did a great job though....haha.

yesterday's driving around inspired to find one last hike to do before the snow made it impossible... unless we wanna try snow shoes?! december bucket list.... ;)

anyways so we found a nice hike just another half hour drive away pretty close to the Palisade Falls hike we did last month. the History Rock hike was only 3 miles round hike but the snow made it a little interesting but man was it a pretty hike!! we were a little disappoint at the rock itself. don't get me wrong it was pretty sweet to see all the carvings but we thought the dates would be a little older. the oldest we saw was 1932 but most were in the 2000s.

 the start into the hike...

 history rock

 always have faith

trying to get rem to sit still long enough for a picture

i love this man more than words...

our happy little boy who loves to hike almost as much as his puppy!

oh just having fun on the way down :)

Hurricane Wes: 6 months old

yup thats true my baby boy is 6 months old well on friday... i am in shock that 6 months ago i was waddling around, begging little boy to make his appearance! well now i'm usually just begging to sleep in. i was updating his baby book this morning and thought i'd post a brag post :)

  • wes now officially has his two bottom front teeth... he does the funniest thing when his teeth are bugging him he growls and bites his bottom lip. he loves his frozen teething rings too

  • he is now rolling in full circles across the bed (with my supervision!) and across our tiny floor.

  • wes is now sitting up, not totally straight but each day his little back muscles are getting stronger and more steady.

  • when i was home last week my mom had bought wes a high chair. we weren't planning on getting on because well we live in a trailer and have zero room. the bumbo was working fine (except when he'd try to grab everything off the table around him) well anyways he loved the high chair so i decided to cram it in my tiny car and see how it worked here. its huge and takes up a lot of space but wesson loves it. he loves sitting up on our level and play with his toys. so a little sacrifice on this ocd momma but worth it...

  • wes is starting to really stand up. when i put him next to our foot stool he stands like a pro... and the look on his face is so cute! he gets so proud of himself! i actually let go today so see how steady he is and he was holding himself up completely! might be his mouth grip on it but still...

  • he is full blown loving food now. it was a little rough start on both our parts but now he's eating one fruit and one veggie in the morning and evening. making baby food is so easy and i love knowing exactly what he's eating... his favorite is defiantly peaches right now.

  • he's outgrowing his tuber wear container... again. this cause a little issue. they don't make them any bigger so luckily he is starting to sit up so that helps. he loves to sit and splash, splash literally for 45 mins!

  • going for our walk around the park is the high light of both my boys days... the minute wes gets his walking suit on he starts squawking and smiling. i'm so happy he loves them... my fur baby needs his daily walk or we'd have major issues. our neighbors are so used to seeing us walk i had one lady ask where i'd been the last week cause she didnt see us out.

  • wesson is pretty much makes his own schedule through out the day but always goes to bed around 8 and up at 6... makes his rough days a little easier knowing if he doesn't nap all day once his night time bath and bottle he's ready to go to sleep for the night.
wesson is growing so fast and has filled our life with such joy and happiness... he is such a happy little boy. its so fun to see his little personality start to form. i love spending my days playing, laughing, and watching all his smiles... he defiantly has a special smile for his daddy though. the second mike walks in the door wesson starts laughing and throwing his arms up for mike to go say hi. adorable. i love all three of my boys more than anything and thank God every day mike provides enough to let us be here with him...

last minute cda trip recap.

okay i literally laugh out loud when i think about how last monday went... yes i wasn't planning on leaving until after my calming yoga class, the house was clean, dinner was made, bags packed, dog walked, wes clean and fed... well all that went to hell around 930 am. i blew the damn breaker (trying to blow dry my hair!!) two more times... after the second time it took the heater with it and i couldn't flip it anymore! it wouldn't flip after the second time so after calling mike and sobbing he told me to just go. so that's what i did! except mike had the car seat... it worked out great cause he could come say bye ;) so after a half hour of drugging the dog, feeding wes, packing.... uh yeah my packing consisted of a the sweats i was wearing, a bra and a sweat shirt for me and wesson's dirty clothes bag (i knew it had enough stuff for a week!) we were on the road... the drive (thank you Jesus!) was great! both boys slept the whole time and we were pulling into town just in time for me to pass my children off before they fully started to wake up.

my trip was perfect! my mom is the sweetest woman alive and had new lotion, shower gel, loofah,  razor and shaving cream waiting for me to grab and jump in the bath... i won't bore you all with my visiting details but seriously it was the best, relaxing visit home. since i needed a new wardrobe (i didn't bring anything  and because i officially weigh what i weighed before the wedding TWO years ago! i'll talk about that progress another time!) we left wes with grandpa and took off to the mall. wonderful surprise on my end Grandma Hunter came over and insured nothing i bought gave me muffin top :) we had a lot of good laughs. thank you!! the rest of the time was spent running around town visiting with our favorites... seriously i have the sweetest women in my life!! thank you all for making the time to squeeze us in and love on my sweet baby :)

friday night was spent drinking wine and catching up with my best friends (finally we're all married now! woop!) brandy and robyn have been by my side through everything and i don't think i'll ever be able to thank them enough for always caring and never once judging my dumb mistakes. seriously every girl needs friends like those two... they make the hard times a little brighter.

i tried to take pictures threw out the week but i slacked a little but enjoy the few i did manage to catch!

going home...

there is a certain comfort of finally seeing that coeur d'alene lake that just welcomes you into town... especially after its been 3 months since you've been home.... i need that.

yes plans changed mom was planning on coming to stay with me while mike was in helena for class weekend but i need a break. she would only be able to come for the weekend and i feel like i need more mommy time! so i'm coming home tonight. i decided to come last week after trying to blow dry my hair and i blew my breaker (guess i can't have my fire place on at the same time... lesson learned.) little trailer lessons are adding up and getting harder to cope with. i know i probably sound ridiculous but i need a revamp. besides i could tell you hundreds of horror stories about our little adventure in the trailer park...

i will be leaving tonight after yoga so around 830pm. my boys will hopefully snooze the whole way there and i'll be waking up refreshed to a cup of coffee with my mom. i need that. i need to not worry about latching remmi on his leash before letting him out (yes he escaped for 2 hours last week...again.) i need a few days to catch up with my favorite girlfriends. i want to go to greensbluff and visit my other mommy friends. i want to take a bath damn it! also i'll be bring loads of dirty clothes... what trip home isn't complete with pawning of mom and dads washer/dryer?!

i got mike set up with oreos, chips, candy... all that crap stuff i don't have enough control not to eat ;) i'm sad he can't come and i already miss him but i need to relax for a few days so i can take on the rest of our time here. i just keep telling myself just a few months... besides while i'm home i might just need to make sure all our ducks are in a row with buying a house and hell a little house hunting never hurt anyone!

so yes idaho i will be seeing you tonight... with my two very loud boys in tow :)
